Eligibility requirements

Use this checklist as a first review. The provider’s current rules make the final decision.

  • Domiciliary origin outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and UK.
  • An offer for an eligible NFQ level 9 or 10 programme and the current call’s other rules.

How to apply, step by step

  1. Confirm the current application cycle

    Open the official sources, then verify the intake, eligible degree, citizenship or residence rules, and every deadline.

  2. Choose the correct route

    Apply for an eligible Irish programme first.

  3. Prepare and submit

    Use your admission offer to complete the separate GOI-IES application.

  4. Complete selection and admission

    Submit the scholarship evidence and references by the published call deadline.

  5. Check the final submission

    Confirm every attachment and referee submission was received. Save the application receipt and monitor the official portal and your email.

  6. Review the written offer

    Confirm tuition, stipend, insurance, travel, duration, renewal rules and any conditions before accepting.
